The Clay Experience
Welcome to Country Clay Cafe; Huron and Bruce County’s very own pottery painting and clay-building studio!
Country Clay Cafe is a pottery studio for people of all ages. We offer pottery painting, hand-building, and pottery wheel lessons.
Bring your babies, children or even pets in for a unique hand, foot or paw print on a clay plaque. You can also get creative at home with our Take-Home Pottery kits!
There are no time limits and no studio fees. Your pottery pieces will be kiln fired and ready for pick up within 2 weeks.

Pottery Painting
We have so many unique ready-to-paint pottery items available for you to select. Choose from figurines, piggy banks, mugs, bowls, plates, teapots, vases, flower pots, treasure boxes and more!
You can decorate your piece with as many paint colours as you like and use stamps and silk-screen stencils for some fun added detail. Our prices are listed on the bottom of each piece and include your paint, tools and kiln firing.
Come by during drop-in hours, no appointment is needed!
Email us to book the studio outside of drop-in hours for your own private pottery-painting party! (Minimum of 5 people).
Hand, Foot and Paw Prints
Bring in your baby, children, or even your furry friends for personalized hands, foot, or paw prints on a clay plaque!

Workshops
Master the art of making pottery
through our creative workshops.
Handbuilding Workshop
Make your own unique pottery piece from start to finish during this 2-hour workshop! This workshop requires 2 studio visits. The first visit is to build and create and the second is to glaze and decorate. No experience is necessary; your instructor will guide you through the process!
Cost: $40 per person
Kids Wheel Workshop
We provide full instructions while your kids get to throw and spin 3 clay balls on a pottery wheel. This is a 2 visit workshop; The first is to throw and spin your clay, and the second is to glaze/paint your pieces.
Cost: $45 per person
Pottery Wheel Workshop
Introduction to pottery wheel for adults. This is a 2 visit workshop. During the first visit, each person gets to throw and spin 4 clay balls on the pottery wheel. The second visit is to glaze and decorate your pottery pieces.
Cost: $65 per person

Children’s Birthday Party
Take your kid’s birthday celebrations to the next level!
During a 2-hour studio session, each child will get to select their own pottery piece from a selection of figurines, and decorate them with as many colours as they like. Plus, the birthday boy or girl will get to take home a fun, personalized plate! Feel free to bring along a birthday cake for your group!
Cost: $15 per child
We will arrange a private time slot for your party.

Team Building Party
Build up that team spirit by organizing an outing that encourages creativity in a relaxing environment, away from the office!
Book a 2-hour studio session for you and your employees. A time where co-workers can talk business (or not!) while letting their minds unwind and think outside the box.
Choose from one of two options:
- Handbuilding with clay: $35 per person
- Pottery painting (prices vary per item).
Please specify which option you want for your party when booking.
Take-Home Pottery Kits
Get creative on your own time at no extra cost!
Stop by the studio during our drop-in hours to choose your pottery pieces. (Do these hours not work for you? No problem! Just email us and we will accommodate you).
We send you home with everything you need, including glaze colours and brushes.
Take your time to decorate your pieces and when ready, return them to us to be kiln fired.
Your finished pottery pieces will be ready for pick up within 2 weeks!
That Cafe Feeling
We offer a cozy cafe atmosphere that is the perfect pairing during a morning or afternoon creative session in our pottery studio.
While you create and paint, enjoy a specialty drink like a cappuccino, latte, cafe mocha, or London Fog, along with a selection of baked goods. Regular coffee, tea and cold drinks are also available.
We proudly provide local coffee from Coastal Coffee Roastery, near Goderich Ontario!
